About the service

The travel health and advice service includes a personalised telephone consultation to determine your travel health requirements, including vaccination, altitude sickness, jet lag, period delay, travellers' diarrhoea and antimalarials.

Some vaccinations have multiple doses, so you must plan to have your vaccination in advance of your departure date, usually 6-8 weeks prior. If you have left it late, that is okay. It is still better late than never!

    £25 per patient

    This service offers you a personalised travel consultation and is ideal if you need help determining which vaccinations or antimalarials you require for your holiday.

Before the appointment

To help you get the most from the appointment, we require you to:

  • Complete the pre-consultation questionnaire sent to you in your booking confirmation email

  • Have your travel dates to hand (if these are confirmed)

  • Have your vaccination history available (you can get this from your GP)

  • Have your complete travel itinerary available

What to expect at the appointment

The appointment will last about 30 minutes. During the consultation, our trained travel specialist will:

  • Ask you questions about your health and other medical conditions to help us determine the best treatment for you

  • Inform you of the recommended treatment to protect you while you are away

  • Allow you to ask any questions you may have, and we ask you to decide whether you would like to proceed with the recommended treatment
